Anyone ever done a ‘bad ending’ for this episode? Like a pair of familiar skeletons baking in the desert sun? Could have easily happened. Long trip back home, and neither Rarity nor Pinkie had any food, water, or survival things.

Rainbow dash really was written pretty terribly in season 2.

From someone who wouldn’t think twice to save a friends life, to one who would leav two of her best friends in the desert.

Then again the rest of mane 6 forgot to come back and get ’em before going home, so…yeah…
