G5 to G1 redesigns!!! I had so much fun with these and I’m really proud of them :> design notes under the cut!

for Izzy, I made her a Twinkle Eye pony. It seemed appropriate with the crystal stuff :) In accordance with twinkle eye designs I gave her four different hair colors. Her symbol is also multiple of the same design, similar to Snuzzle and Fizzy. Instead of a crystal hairtie thing she’s wearing one of these G1 hairclips.

For Hitch, I followed the Big Brother ponies and gave him a solid hair color with 1 stripe. I also gave him a bandana like they had. Their symbols also tend to be one simple item without many colors, so I simplified his symbol down. I also gave him freckles a la the UK-exclusive mountain boys :)

For Pipp, I had to make her a flutter pony! As per flutter ponies, she has one solid hair color. I also did a little symbol redesign to mirror g1′s larger/more repetitive symbols. Instead of her canon crown thing she is wearing a version of one of these G1 crowns.

For Zipp, considering her cool wings I actually decided to do a multicolor wing thing a la G1 Ringlet. Then I went all the way and just full redesigned her as a Rainbow Curl Pony, so her symbol got a HUGE overhaul to cover her side like Streaks and other Rainbow Curl ponies. She was also given four solid hair colors like others in the set.

Last but not least, I decided to make Sunny a Glow n’ Show pony! She has pink hair with a stripe of one other color, in accordance with GnS designs. I also redesigned her symbol to be more similar to other g1 star-themed symbols, kind of taking inspo from the rainbow baby ponies.

They also all have the G1 blush and ribbons!
