Who knows, maybe her undoing the castle, which the Elements created, was her declaration of war, of her intent to steal all the magic from the Unity Crystals, and to show that she was not a threat to be taken lightly. Then, when things went sideways, or perhaps a little before then, she took the box as a trophy, a memento of the victory she’d scored over Twilight.
Feels strange that she’d be able to harvest the box from Twilight’s castle, considering the thing was buried and quite possibly destroyed in the process of the creation of the tree. Timey wimey shenanigans feel more valid, but that starts to make things go sideways quick.
I mean, it’s literally appeared in 2 episodes so far, I think it’s too early to judge whether it’s there to just be there or it’s relevant
Regarding the tree of harmony, it might’ve made another one for future generations to find and unlock it.
I forget, was it crystalline in G4? Heck, maybe whatever Opaline did to it (and then the inevitable passage of time) took its sheen away.
