He wasn’t that messed up all things considering, was he a playboy asshole yes, but even when his company sold weapons (which funded a lot of non-military parts of the company) they sold them legitimate militaries and not terrorists like Stane. Hire criminals like Hammer, or use he knowledge to purposely kill people because someone’s father screwed over his father like Vanko. Given the track record of most weapons contractors in marvel’s movie universe Tony seemed to be an ok guy even before Iron Man

Actually, I agree with that. Stark was a messed up dude before he even started flying around shooting lasers. Fancy’s just kind of… a really nice guy lol. Doesn’t match up. Looks cool though.
