feeling pretty discouraged again. I’m not sure how many people will stil keep up now that chapter 4’s coming out, and it’ll probably be a bit of a while before this story becomes less of a downer and i don’t want to kill anyone’s mood or excitement towards the special.

It’s not possible to destroy us with this story based on recent/upcoming events because we’ll just be happier knowing what she’s escaped in the headcanon of your story.

In fact, with things already wrapping up in official canon (it seems), it allows the unexplored elements of Misty and Opaline’s relationship to blossom in fan-made material, especially material as fantastic as your story.

I know how you feel, I was a bit dismayed by seeing Misty’s recent development because of my own little series “Misty’s Misunderstandings”, but I decided to still continue it (even though it’ll probably take months for me to finish a tenth of your output).

I knew you would probably continue “Misty’s POV”, and reflecting on your work, I realized I don’t care what the show says or does, I love your storyline. Even if there’s some discrepancy, it’s free to be a slightly alternate storyline, and many fan stories with far more deviation do well.

Regardless, your work is an inspiration to us and a very believable, immersive, and even emotionally entertaining scenario with the original material.
