let alone if the story legitimately goes in this direction, this is being posted on 4chan and derpibooru, I could only imagine the horrors of the potentially unwanted attention this story could get.
The idea alone makes me sick to my stomach, as much as abuse to that ridiculous extent can make for a more impactful story, I don’t think graphically depicting it using MLP is in good taste.

In a serious emergency like that, Opaline is better than nothing, but going back to dying alone in the forest isn’t the only other option here. Misty deserves so much better than this and if there’s civilization within walking distance, there’s an incredibly high chance there someone vastly more capable of taking care of her without literally beating and starving her half to death as has been the case with Opaline.

She found Misty alone in the forest, what else could she do if she had no contact with ponies? Just let her die? She wasn’t qualified to raise kids but sometimes unqualified is the best thing out there for some ponies.
Then she shouldn’t be in charge of a child if she’s not capable of taking care of them, and there’s only so much you can excuse when the abuse is this severe
