Yeah, so it’s a mix of in game stuff and drawn on stuff. The body positions/gestures was me cutting the pony apart, making a new layer for each body part and rotating the body parts and then deleting/drawing pixels to make the body look good. I usually make a separate layer for the head, mouth/eyes , mane, torso, tail and one for each leg, so I can move/change them independently of each other. I use Aseprites pixel editor or photoshop timelines to make the magic of animation happen.

I see. Are these facial expressions, body gestures, and hoof gestures hand-drawn? Pony Town game doesn’t have these emotes, actions, and expression.

I think Slybot trced an old animation by Mystic Blare. For the Orange pony, I cropped out different hoof assets and played around with them frame by frame in Aseprites.

These movements are really awesome! How did you make them?
