I noticed that there’s now lighting emerging from Sunny’s perspective of view in this panel.
If we look at previous panels, the light is always coming from an external direction of interest. But now it’s coming from Sunny. scootangel

My apologies. The more I like a work, the MORE I am likely to get academic. I realize that isn’t for everyone, and your comment made me realize that this is probably one of those cases.
I very much agree that pacing should be “whatever the author needs”, especially in this case.

I hope you did not think I said anything that would seem in any way opposed to that statement? I was merely trying to anticipate where the story might be going next due to it highly engaging my emotions.
I’d explain more, but I was just (correctly) corrected for that, so I will instead say: “Further explanations of why everything is fine available upon request.”.

It’s very hard to finish off a story when I’ve been making it at a very rapid rate for over 20 days, and my personal journey has both suffered and benefited from it. I think a recap is the best possible way.

Uhm … you seem to be going into a pretty hard meta analysis. I think the artist has been very clear they are doing what they can, at a pace that is healthy for them, and they are speaking from personal experience, not from an academic standpoint.
I agree their work stands next to Neil Gaiman’s, and I’m sure Neil would agree and be complimented by the comparison. But maybe dial back the academics a little?

Hmmm… yes, that is true. I suppose it would be more precise to wonder if we are about to get a few panels devoted to SHOWING with the images, rather than just TELLING us with the words attached to upbeat messages. Note that “show don’t tell” is a general rule, and general rules are made to be broken in specific circumstances (and perhaps more-so in writing than in other areas). More precisely “show don’t tell” seems to me to be a rule to make things more real/intense to the audience and if the intent is to create a message focused strongly on Hope* then subtly placing the setbacks slightly out-of-focus could be the correct move!
*And remember what “The Sandman” did with Hope that one time… or don’t, that might be a connection that only means much to me in this moment, rather than being more broadly applicable for all I know…
EDIT: To clarify, showing a setback explicitly would not necessarily be a bad call in my eyes. I do not have the knowledge of psychology to have the vaguest idea if it would make this a better or worse message to send out to those struggling with this condition either directly within themselves or alongside what I am going to call a “primary sufferer”.

Her recovery still isn’t perfectly smooth. She still doubts her worth a lot and had ‘many ups and downs’ during her weight gain. It’s still probably happening.

Draco Dei (on tablet) :
Maybe you decided to turn your bad day IRL into a setback for the character? Not a “then she died” but a “then she lost 5* hard-won pounds?”
*Or whatever number makes sense. I am not knowledgeable regarding such things.
