I think she said what smoothie she wanted, but there really wasn’t much beyond that
They already see misty as a friend And I don’t recall her having any actual dialogue in the short So she was probably just randomly used by the animators
Also pretty sure we saw the Earth pony magic in make Your Mark 1st.

It like when they introduced Earth Pony Magic in Tell Your Tale and THEN officially in make Your Mark.

Maybe Opaline reformed, too? This is My Little Pony after all.
I don’t think so, she still has Opaline’s medallion.
Since the character first showed up people have speculated that she’s going to join the Main Cast as sixth member.
This episode probably takes place after Misty has already joined them.
