That… doesn’t seem to describe most of Sunny’s life at all though…
She DID stuff, but basicalloy never got good results except from her father. She tried to sneak into Canterlogic every year, and that failed every year before the movie IIRC? And even when she did she got shoved around by machines, covered in goo, and humiliated. Even during her great quest things failed twice (missing Earth Pony Crystal, then “Three Crystals, but… nothing happening.”(missing ingredient: Harmony) ) before they FINALLY worked.

Granted she was and is successfully self-employed I think?

But on the whole I think that AT LEAST one (and possibly both) of us is missing something?

For sure. After a lifetime of being the doer of actions and the receiver of results, a sudden lack of correlation between action and result rapidly leads to dark places, not just obsessive disorders.

Lack of feeling control is a direct correlation to a majority of obsessive mental health issues (like OCD, which isn’t about neatness but behaviors that deal with keeping/reverting things a certain way as a means for control). And the concept is so very rarely ever addressed, much less in fiction.
