Did OP just disocvered that fact? It’s been known when G5 wa announced, and even then you hear her full name in the Movie. I think the less known names people may be not aware of is Opaline Arcana

The mlp fanwiki stated that Zipp’s full name is ‘Zephyrina ‘Zipp’ Storm’ so Zipp actually has a three-part name.

Correct. Mind, I wasn’t denying ponies could have last names at all, just that some ponies with “last names” seemed to just be one whole name with two sections (Sweetie Belle, Big Macintosh, etc,) as exist irl as well.
Name discussions are fun :D
Also while you could reasonably extrapolate that since Izzy was asking for a last name as if it were necessary implies that hers is one as well, I’ll be a pedantic asshole and say that she never expressly notes her own name as one. :v

I can’t prove it, but I feel like the second word was called a “last name” in-show at some point. Don’t know if there’s transcripts somewhere to dig through, or if someone with better knowledge of G5 could back up or refute this.

Just because they’re not tagged with last names doesn’t mean they don’t have them. Jazz has had the last name Hooves in toys. Some of them weren’t initially included in animated media, such as IIRC Alphabittle Blossomforth and Rocky Riff.

I guess calling it a “last name” is a little debatable; Sometimes it seems like the ponies have family names, but other times it’s implied some ponies just have two-part names, just like some only have one part.
