If they’re willing to have characters fart, why not the ponies, who more of us would want to see fart than Sparky or Cloudpuff? (Izzy would be most likely of course but I also really wouldn’t mind seeing Sunny, Zipp, or Pipp fart either)
And those who don’t like fart scenes would be put off by them no matter which character it is.

This wasn’t an issue in the comics, where Rarity farted onscreen in the tub at the spa. And I think there was a fart scene with Fluttershy too when she is under a spell and imitating a skunk, and Pinkie makes reference to Rainbow Dash farting. And they do keep it out of Make Your Mark at least, reserving it for Tell Your Tale.
But then, I haven’t found any fanart or fanfiction of any of the female G5 ponies farting except like two pictures of Sunny (one of which was tied to the beans, and you’d think that would inspire more), and one obscure video of all of them farting on Sprout, so maybe there aren’t enough fans who would like to see that. (Maybe it just doesn’t have enough fans in general and no one cares) But still, if you’re not going to have the ponies fart, then just don’t have fart scenes at all.
Wait, in contrast to Pony Life? When did any of the Main 6 fart in Pony Life? (aside from that possible instance where Fluttershy tries to inflate)

I dunno about that, I think in contrast to Pony Life, they’re trying to keep the main characters out of the gross stuff, so as to anger fans of those characters less. It’s a cheap and easy tactic in kid show writing to have designated “gross” characters.

With the amount of fart jokes Tell Your Tale has done with Sparky and various other animal characters, I feel like it’s only a matter of time before they start having the ponies fart as well.
