Description

In the 7th timeline in the episode, “The Cutie Re-Mark” which is the Ashlands Timeline, we see that in the timeline, Equestria is a barren, empty wasteland. I think this takes place after the events after Daybreaker took over Equestria, because she defeated Princess Luna, and without night, the sun scorched Equestria, turning it into the wasteland we see in the episode.

I have my own take on this theory.
I believe Daybreaker caused the Ashlands Timeline, but not because there was no night. Instead, I believe she burnt the land dry herself.
Think about it.
Not only does she still have Celestia’s powerful magic capablities…

…but she can also breathe fire…

…can create a supernova around her…

…and can bend fire to her will.
And, without her sister, all of that raw power and raw anger would be completely left unchecked. All it would take would be one wrong move from her subjects…

…and Equestria would be burnt to a crisp.
There would be so much ash that, while sunlight would still be there, the sun itself would no longer be visible.
Nothing would be left…except her.

And I bet she’d regret none of it.

it… makes sense…
but why there is no sun? like i know it is there, but it still seems pretty dark, i don’t think that daybreaker ego would let her just let the sunlight be reduced this much without a pretty big reason, what could it be?
