I am aware of what they use in the wings, it’s just that with the merestream’s energy source being from the lantern, it should’ve kept the wings at a warm enough temperature to prevent any ice building up on leading edge of them, which with the lantern being magical, it would’ve done so.

Those use hot air from the engines to heat up the wings. This…thing doesn’t seem to have fuel burning engines, but it does have a purple Jedi who can break the ice off. And half the occupants can either fly or levitate.
