Made an overly detailed chart for data only I care about!~
Basically I was wondering on the amount of humanizations and the trends of how people humanize them. (For example Izzy used to be drawn almost always pale, but now its more common to see a darker skinned izzy)
I went thru the “g5, humanized” search and counted them myself (they arent perfect for that reason obv)
The specific tones are broad ranges and not hyperspecific, I exaggerated the ones used for the sake of the chart clarity.

Theres a few reasons. Purple is naturally the darkest color even in the world of pastel ponies, it looks great with her color pallete (warm tones with the cool ones). Also deciding race / skin tone based on mannerisms is kinda racist sounding ngl.
Tldr: people do it bc they can! Seeing unique tones and such are cool and having a varying cast of diff tones are neat
err you might wanna reread that. Izzy has the most and hitch has the least (being male character in a girls series for obv reasons)

Anyway this is simply a data chart so itll be hard for people being mad to actually try and make a point lol
