I… don’t know what to say to all of that. However, I do know one thing: Poor Misty needs to realize that she’s better off with the Mane 5 and ditch Opaline.

Speaking of redemption, my DnD group just redeemed an archdevil in one of the 9 layers of He’ll and returned to the material plane. Just had to go through a triple death god cult, a corrupt jobless house, a city trapped in internal chains and release it, and traverse the whole infernal layer and several demi planes searching for a holy relic to do it. Spoilers are for plot points in Descent into Avernus adventure.

Maybe, but I AM willing to point out how Celestia’s attitude was more or less “exile / kill anyone unless they’re family or I need them” while Twilight’s was basically “forgive anyone older than 10 for literally everything”. All morality aside, Celestia’s kingdom lasted thousands of years and ended on a high note and peaceful passing of the torch while Twilight’s lasted about a generation at most and ended on such a low note that most don’t even know about her anymore which implies a LOT was lost before things came back together in G5. The REAL question of morality is not whether redemption is deserved or one is worthy of it, but rather is how many innocents need to pay the price for that other person’s redemption? :P

There’s always going to be some butthole looking to stir up trouble just because things are too harmonious. My theory is they overextended trying to bring everyone together and make everyone get along and live in harmony, and things just sort of imploded. Ever play Risk, and you spread out too far, and you get to a point where you control a lot of territory but are so spread out you can’t hold any of it and are quickly defeated? Like that, but friendship-based :P

Either way, Opaline is to blame for the Twilight era falling apart. I hope at the end of it all, she’s stripped of all her power, her California form, and brought down to a ‘lowly’ earth pony, incapable of the flora magic the others can do. What greater insult for a bigoted witch like her than to be brought down to that which she views beneath her?😈

Twiggles is going to come up with a convoluted plan to try and get rid of the ghost, probably one that’s friendship-related. Sunburst is going to consult some old books to try and come up a way to exorcise her. Trixie’s just going to be like “If that freeloading ghost wants to be undead here, she’d better pay some rent and keep her damned ectoplasm off Trixie’s toothbrush!” :P

The way I see it, even ignoring Discord’s shenanigans, MLP had rotary phones. That model of phone existed in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s, so they more or less have 1980-era technology. Assuming Lustie’s era takes place roughly 30 to 40 years later, it’s not unreasonable that they could have advanced to modern smartphone technology, especially since they made contact with a world where modern smartphones and internet exist long before Lustie was even conceived. In other words, it’s actually likely Luster Dawn-era Equestria would have smartphones, internet, and other modern technology :D
