Is supporting a company through your work that you have realized IS doing evil stuff, even if you personally haven’t been assigned a role that is doing the evil stuff directly, something where refusing to continue work is being a butthead?
She’s only forced to work in general (like everyone in life). Wasn’t forced do anything bad or immoral - outside of her imagination. Or even forced to work at this specific job. And she proves she isn’t forced to work at this job if she was completely fine blowing the job up before it even did anything she imagined.
But she is forced, not in the obvious sense but by financial pressure, she’s become tied to as her only chance of paying off those debts with no real alternatives.
I don’t doubt there are real world equivalents to the worst cases of jerk employers at all. But in Candy’s case a destructive decision was made based on a 100% imagined future. It’s not like she was forced to work there specifically. If she planned to destroy the place she could have just as easily left it without poisoning the well for what is currently an innocent entity.

It may be a little presumptive of her, though the driving idea behind it is that has realized just how precarious her position has become there. Clearlab is now in a position of complete financial control over her, and she cannot live with that. And her fears in the previous panels actually line up with the lived experience of friends of mine who worked in tech.
