Description
A pose practice, that then became a new character, that then became a whole drawing with a setting.
This guy is Lancelot! Adventurous, courtly-mannered, loyal and a squire.
I haven’t developed his backstory and personality more than this yet, but he’s going to be medievally inspired. Either proper medieval and living in the Middle Ages OR behaving “medievally” in today’s society. Probably the former, but I’ll have to decide. Heck, he might be one of Stendhal’s forefathers! >0>

For now, here he is, bidding his home and fief farewell. In 1400/1500, voyages were frequent, long, dangerous and exhausting: you knew when you left your four stony walls, saddlebags on your rump, you didn’t know when you’d be back. But whenever you would, you knew there would be soup brewing on that fireplace, and nephews and relatives, ministrels and troubadours, dames and servants begging to hear the latest tales about your exploits. ^^
Hope you like it! What I’m really proud of with this drawing is the anatomy: I paid extra attention to making it realistic and I think it shows, at least a bit. The landscape is passable, but that’s also an accomplishment since I almost never draw any. <w>
