She and Spike were pinned down by those assassins, she cannot use her magic as those assassins carried an anti-magic stone which could let all magic creatures lost all magic power in an area.
Assassin who pinned down Twilight wanted to kill Twilight but Twilight resisted his knife but she is out of strength to push back the knife and the knife slowly stabbed inside her left eye. Luckily Applejack came in time to rescue her.
Lately when they back to The Central Market of Galaxy, Twilight had an eye surgery and a machine eye replaced her lost eye. Now her machine eye can shoot out laser, her machine eye also contains many functions that giving her advantage when in close and range combat.
