Its a kid playing with toys. One kid sees them like barbie dolls and wanted to have a tea party. Another kid sees them as little soldier men and wanted to simulate a battle. There’s no violence here. Just the difference between childrens method of play.

Now that I think about it, Sprout did did into the whole “fry brains” thing with grand enthusiasm. Perhaps it was a bit of foreshadowing he was not going to be quite as open to the idea of getting everypony back together as some of the others. It also seemed to portend he was more open to violence than the others too.
