I gave up on the fluffy “fandom” long ago as well. Same with the yukkuri “fandom”. Both are about torturing weak and defenseless creatures that possess some semblance of sapience (neither are particularly smart, but that’s kinda beside the point).

The “official lore” just makes things worse, IMO. It’s just an excuse to justify torture pics. And yes, I’m aware of this being fiction and no real animals are getting hurt. Beside the point. I’m just focusing on the “lore” and how people are enjoying the depravity.

If it just stuck with the fluffies getting into trouble and ending themselves in ridiculous ways, that’d be different. At least then, the predicaments they find themselves in will be their own fault. But no. Humans need to do horrible things to them for cheap laughs. Yeesh.

According to one of the former fluffy fandom (fyi: she got sick of it time time after being a fluffy fandom for 10 years, now she grew up and felt vile for ever liking this when she was a edgy teen), lore of this story is the fluffy were byproduct of Hasbio (yeah i know), these fluffy were prototypes that was released by PETA after they raid the Hasbio facility and free the fluffy on the wild, of course the fluffy turns out cause more damaged than good and the PETA member responsible releasing them, downplay it and play a lie game saying it was the goverment that release it but they didn’t buy it and jailed the PETA member for 20 years, as for fluffy they become and invasive species to the point the government decide to remove it is to encourage people to kill them on sight (idk why but its stupid for them to come up with this idea)

Why would anyone want to eliminate these fluffies? There doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with them? Then again, knowing how most people in the fluffy “fandom” behave, it makes me question why I even bother with it anymore.
