Dude that Sunset Shimmer Pony’s picture is a Recolor of Princess Cadence/Chrysalis when she was sending Twilight Down into Hell/the Crystal Mines.

I’d love to see Sunset Shimmer as a villain. if they really played up the “evil counterpart to Twilight” angle, she could end up being the most personal villain yet. Best of all, her villainous motivation and animosity towards Twilight could be summed up in one sentence:
 
“You stole the life that should have been mine.”
 
 
Sadly, chances are pretty good that she won’t be appearing in the show… but hey, that’s what fanfics are for! ^_ ^

Unfortunately, Sunset Shimmer was confirmed to be only a toy exclusive and will not appear in the show.
 
That’s just too bad because that would have been an awesome villain. She should have been the first reccuring villain with a whole season dedicated to here, her schemes, and how to finally defeat her.

Yea, i’m not trusting Meghan McCarthy right now. Hasbro says put the little pony in the show, she’ll get put in the show. Their product, end of story. Just glad the show’s writers have the wiggle room that they do to create the stories we have seen thus far, minus Magical Mystery Cure and Twilight’s Ascension + carriage ride for the product line. Still expect to see S4 open with Twilight riding around in a “motorized” carriage she invented, and Applejack drives her back to Ponyville.
