Honestly, I feel like Sci-Twi is superior to Princess Twilight.
Twilight has received or had support from Princess Celestia (possibly Celestia planned to make her a princess from the beginning), Sci-Twi did not have that support, we do not know much about her past, but we can see that she did make an effort to achieve her goals (and she doesn’t use magic).
Twilight it seems that she did not see having friends as a priority (in the beginning), but Sci-Twi observed that she did want to be sociable, but she was like shy….
Twilight had to study for many years to master magic, Sci-Twi was able to create a device capable of absorbing magic, even without knowing about it…
Sci-Twi became Midnight Sparkle, so she has experience of being in the “dark side”, Twilight has used black magic (King Sombra magic), but the princess Twilight does not have the point of view of being corrupted ( unless you count the comics, Dark Water Saga)…. (although, there may still be chances if the G5 series goes for many seasons)…
Sci-Twi’s hairstyle has more personality than Twilight’s hairstyle…
