Canon Spike is this way actually. He has friends everywhere, and isn’t afraid to call in favors to get help out his friends, thereby garnering new favors. Like, he’s legit a friendly mafia don in the canon show. His step parent is Twilight, close friends with Celestia, and hang out buddies/brother with Shining Armor. He’s got a serious in with every major power, and he knows all kinds of popular ponies just randomly. If he was malicious he could cause some serious damage…
