-> военные преступления
Это не были бы “военные преступления”, когда вместо мирных маршей в полицию начали стрелять. Не зря этих проплаченных провокаторов повязали, как собак https://fergana.media/articles/124571/

Price reduction for gas was agreed before looting and horrible things happened. For 180 days, yes. I do not expect it to stay like that. One has to be a special kind of moron to believe so.
Our government is, again, a pretty bad one. I have nothing good to say about them, really. But I hate not the common police officer, or the common doctor. I hate the government. You think all doctors left to care for troops on their whim? Or do you think they like beating up regular people? No. They are ordered to. When you dedicated your entire life for a job (case especially for doctors) and higher ups threaten your job and any future employment prospects, you don’t really have a choice. So I feel bad for your friend’s grandmother, but it’s not doctors who spat on her, but the higher ups. Have compassion for the common clerk.
As for the government, unfortunately, we don’t really have a choice. There is no good leader for the opposition. Maybe government hunted them all, and is breaking the spirits of any new ones, or maybe that’s just how it is, but if anyone from opposition come to govern us, it would be no better, I can confidently say that.
Doing it violently is hardly going to help us either. Russia will come cracking down us in a single moment. There will be endless coups after coups, pushing the nation into downward spiral.
I hope we could turn things to more open government, like in Eastern Europe. But we are not ready yet. We need better opposition leaders.
except for the territory near administrative buildings.
BTW, those were given up by government just as easily. Other regions of the city, outskirts of Almaty for example, were quiet actually. It’s the center which was damaged. Someone orchestrated them. It might be someone from the government, I am quite sure of that. And these were definitely not terrorists from outside the country.
I think you think that when Internet was shut down in the Kazakhstan, there were still protests in Almaty, and they were put down by the police. They weren’t. There were only looters. Otherwise, I would’ve heard about it. Kind of weird not to hear about it when you live here.
Protests were still going on in other cities though, and I only support them.

Remember what happened in Moscow during all the past major protests, when people shouted “Shame! Shame!” when they were beaten with batons and taken to paddy wagons. When people cannot or DO NOT want to fight back against the security forces (ОМОН, for example). I also have friends in Kazakhstan too, including in Almaty. Do you think it would be better with the same protests as in Moscow? Until the sacrifices on both sides began, the KZ government did not reduce prices back, and after that, they did. But only for 180 days. And what will happen in 180 days? Prices rise again?
The fact that there were acts of looting is normal for every protests. Internet off, no money and food on the shelves, police did not help to protect law and order, being too busy fighting the protesters. Naturally, because of this, robberies appeared. This is normal for any revolution and it does not mean that “terrorists are operating in the country”. These are ordinary gopniks, because the first, according to friends, began to steal alcoholic beverages (They forbid it in Almaty, right?). And if the police can’t do anything about it, it’s their fault, not the civilians. They were too keen on protecting the authorities, since they scored a dick on law and order in other regions of the city, except for the territory near administrative buildings. Who is to blame?
One of my friends in Russia has a friend who lives in Shymkent. His grandmother is an honored athlete and medalist of the USSR, a Veteran of Labor. She cannot get out of bed, she has become ill, and all ambulances are sent to support the police and CSTO army. They are not involved in any way, no cars were allocated to civilians at all. He could not call a ambulance to the house for three hours, he was refused several times. And until he came to their office and shouted, no one would have come. Is this also a good act on the part of doctors who spit on civilians?
If there had been no price hike, or they had listened to the people immediately, then all this might not have happened. But why, if they can row money from the wallets of his citizens.

Dude. I live in Almaty, where main shit happened. I’ve seen it. After 5th, there were no more protests, no more demands.
Demands were voiced before 5th. Government is shit, I am fully aware of that. But people who took to extreme, attacking and burning everything? Looting and marauding businesses and stores? They are not better themselves. That is not how protests are done.
Voice of reason is a peaceful one. You can’t do shit with violence. What did they achieve with violence, huh? Is there any political leader who led them, openly? Without a leader, revolution dissolves into anarchy. And nobody, I repeat, NOBODY, both from the opposition, and from the government, are not suited to rule. They’ll just repeat what current government is doing, maybe even harder.
What we need is more transparent and open democratic process. To find a leader, to find multiple leaders who we can trust.

Unironically, police were good guys in this situation. Those were not protesters, but marauders hijacking peaceful protests.
Kind of like looters hijacking peaceful BLM protests
Police threw stun grenades under the feet of civilians, who tore off their toes. Soldiers, on the orders of his president, kills civilians who are fighting for lower prices for gas and petrol, or for higher salaries. The KZ government of wanted to profit from people, and as soon as they realized that the police had been disarmed (without the use of weapons from civ side, Molotov cocktails were used only to burn buildings and cars) in two days, they turned to CSTO, having got the armies of other countries, who received orders to shoot to kill everything that moves. Killing people, who went out into the street and started filming the military, is a very good thing, yeah.
Good guys, huh? Without knowing all the situation as a whole, it is easy to say who is good and who is bad.
