There is a reason why King Speedy is a fantastic ruler. He is so kind and down to earth that the masses just couldn’t help but fall in love with him. I mean just take this scene here. RT reuniting with his majesty has given him such relief and joy, not just because he has gotten his dependable foalsitter back (although that is a big part of it, this protective Daddy doesn’t trust just anypony with his little bannana) but because he genuinely cares for the mare, takes time to listen to her worries and concerns when he has a rare bit of free time to spare. Always humble with his wisdom and not afraid to admit his past mistakes in order to build the mare’s confidence (A tactic I am sure he picked up a bit from Galaxia) RT is in good hooves with this family on her side and is overjoyed to be back with them. - RainbowTashie
