Huh, kinda thought there was a hiatus or something. Oh well
There was a long time where the comic didn’t update because the artist’s laptop was broken, but it’s never been canceled.
She makes up a story where she lost because she trusted somepony.
It is one of those things that if you think about it makes perfect sense.
Too bad, Spike has got Rarity’s scent.
Boy hope to see how their chemistry further goes in this comic series………

You thought it was cancelled? With how popular this comic has been, I don’t see how it could be cancelled. That is, unless the artist got busy (which tends to happen a lot, since we are all human and have other responsibilities outside of Derpi).

I bet she wears it purely for the sake of fashion and intrigue. Calling it now.
Maybe her cat just scratched her while she was bathing it.
Still, it does beg the question of why Rarity has that eyepatch in this universe. Was she involved in a battle of some kind?
