Possibly unpopular opinion: Candy apples are awful.
They promise to be sweet and delicious. But it’s awkward just taking a bite out of one, and you end up just sucking all the caramel off from that spot first, so then you have to deal with just an apple. It’s a small burst of sweetness followed by disappointment with every bite. The caramel gets all over you lips. The apple is prone to falling off the stick altogether. And they seem to use the worst quality apples for this. Even if they’re not rotten, they tend to be sour, with a tough thick skin.
Basically I’m saying to Hitch: You can do better, m’boy.
