With the Pegasi ability to fly having returned, and Equestria needing a new military, I definitely think that the Wonderbolts will return at some point in the near future (though, come to think of it, reforming the Wonderbolts will take time since the current ponies don’t know all that much about the original Wonderbolts, plus the old uniforms are likely no longer useable after so many decades of neglect).
