Did you mean James Hong?
The Tianlong Emperor would be voiced by someone with a much deeper voice.
While I am taking real world inspiration and borrowing quite a bit for the aesthetic, the empire is still fictional. There are a lot of things that don’t line up. One example is the forbidden city itself. I know the real one isn’t in a mountainous area at all, but I placed the fictional one in an environment inspired by the mountains of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park because they look cool and because it stays consistent with my theme of dragons living in mountains.
I’m originally from the Netherlands and moved to the US. It should be noted that I’m not going for total accuracy and I’m also simplifying the designs a lot because the MLP style demands it. I know that the cloud shoulders are supposed to look different, for example. I just needed it to be recognizable as Qing Dynasty inspired (because of the Qianlong->Tianlong Emperor pun).
It’s alright. It’s okay to have preferences. I was just confused.
I’m really sorry to bother you. I may be too sensitive, because I prefer the dynasties before the Qing Dynasty. I’m really sorry
I went with the Qing dynasty because my Emperor OC is called the Tianlong Emperor.
There are also some cultural stereotypes involved in the Qing Dynasty.
Sorry, I’m Chinese, but our culture is not only the Qing Dynasty, but also the Qing Dynasty, which has a lot of contacts with the west, which leads many people to think that the Qing Dynasty is the whole of Chinese culture
So?
