Fluttershy smiles as she rocks and forth on her hooves causing the leather of her thigh-high black boots to creak softly.
 
“Oh! Um, thank you for being on time for your first lesson. Uh, this will be more of um, an orientation lesson where we’ll discuss certain concepts and, oh, what’s the word. Principles! Yes that’s the word! The principles of riding!”
 
She smiles sweetly and nods her head before continuing. “I also wanted to use this lesson to introduce you to some of the um, equipment you’ll be working with. Understanding how it works will help you get up to , uh, speed faster.”
 
The chiffon yellow mare turns and slowly walks over to a saw horse-like framework that has several pieces of kit hanging or draped over it. One smooth motion the mare sits down on the saddle and puts her hooves in the stirrups. She turns her head and looks over her shoulder. With the riding crop in her left hand she taps it.
 
“Now. This is a saddle.”
