ALL THESE BRONIES ARE YOURS
EXCEPT BACKGROUND HUMAN.
ATTEMPT NO FRIENDSHIP THERE.
(Annyong!)
But then again I find a lot of things annoying.
You’re not best pony, but I don’t.
After Baby Cakes I found you significantly more likeable. Then came The Last Roundup. At this point, Pinkie, you’re my #3 favorite pony. I would actually enjoy a nice long train ride with you, and would love to have you as a friend, with or without benefits.
I see your point, as well. Might I add, it’s also nice to see someone who can accept and see why other people like a character that they don’t as opposed to the usual “This character sucks and that’s a fact” tripe I always see. :)
Yeah, you got a point. Logically, “Luna Eclipsed” shouldn’t really exist at all, so I suppose they had to generate conflict somehow.
It’s a bit more glaring in “Cider Squeezy” since it would have been way easy to write around: Pinkie only gets one cup and they still run out before Rainbow-keeps the episode intact and dosen’t make Pinkie look like an asshole.
Still, Pinkie’s a fine character and I get why people like her. I just don’t.
Characters must do certain things in certain scenarios in order for there to be a conflict for there to be an episode at all, even if it mighty clash with the character’s normal personality or actions. This is an issue that, while sometimes avoided well, pops up in probably every single tv series I’ve seen to the point where I hardly notice it anymore unless brought to light.
S’Why being a writer with deadlines like that would stress me the fuck out!
I will agree with you about inconsistencies amongst television shows, but we did see the same behavior from Pinkie in “Luna Eclipsed.” Then again, that episode was also “entertaining but stupid” so you have a point…
There are times when we must remember this is simply a tv show (and a cartoon, at that) and WILL have it’s inconsistencies and oddities.
Also, people in real-life even have personality inconsistencies. Like I might always try to be Mr. Positive around others. But there are days when I just turn out to be the grump of the bunch and for reasons nobody would really notice.
But….mostly just the tv show part. Life doesn’t have multiple writers (or does it?! Twilight Zone theme plays)
It’s just like Mentally Advanced Apple Bloom said: children have no empathy.
@Trickquestion
Hm, I find these statements to be accurate.
>Buys 20 mugs of cider during a shortage, doesn’t share
Though that episode, while entertaining, was pretty stupid all around when you think about it.
I said sad deep down. As in, is secretly sad.
She’s a child. Children wear their emotions on their sleeves.
>Implying she doesn’t.
