The vending trailer modeled after a camper appeared to be 2.0 to 2.2 pony heights (PH) high, and we have not seen the equipment that makes it possible to tow it.
 
The pegasi may have airships, helicopters and aircraft with jet propulsion and electric propulsion - but they will need railroads and motor vehicles as they cannot fly without magic. We do not yet know if the communication technology is so widespread, but from one of the leaks half a year ago it is said that the changelings may have specialized in cyber technology.
 
We do not know a thing about the political conditions, but it is possible that the changelings are subjugated to the empire created by the pegasi.

Also keep in mind, G4 did have delivery trucks like when derby drop some stuff on Twi’s head. So it’s possible earth ponies in G5 have some bigger delivery vehicles of their own

It could be a possibility high tech is only for the pegasi? Maybe earth ponies are just not as advanced? Pegasi don’t really need cars though.

The G5 ponies can have cars; but I do not think it will be about cars for single individuals as in our world, it was in the 1950s the car became widespread around the world, and in several countries it was unusual to own a car until the 1970s. In addition, it is possible that the ponies will not be so dependent on the car, and thus may have a more practical and limited perspective on the vehicle. Truck, yes. Bus / tram, yes. Small three-wheeled cars, yes. But they probably do not want passenger cars, pick-ups or SUVs in private ownership.
 
If they have a much more extensive railway network than in the G4, they do not need a large car traffic over long distances with motorways, and moreover one should understand that Equestria is divided into three, and again divided into many autonomous areas or states - which only cooperated financially rather than opening their borders to each other.
 
We have seen from the G4 that the ponies are not as individually bred as the humans, and can not be compared to the Americans - perhaps more with the East Asians. This is in the DNA of the ponies. Why should ponies have their own cars when they can meet their needs with other means such as a bus or a distribution company that they can only call, which we now see a growing trend in the year 2021 in our world? They are generally more trusting of each other.

This is strange to think about, since we know that in G5 ponies would have invented some modern technology like smartphones and (very likely) computers. It is strange to think that ponies have tech like that and yet don’t have cars (also, considering they do have smartphones, it is highly likely that the ponies of G5 also invented electric power, as well, likely an evolution of the steam locomotives from G4)

Note the sign on the bridge, they still use pre-industrial measurements like in G4, we have post-industrial measurements like centimeters and meters in 90% of our world. Does this sign say “3.00” or “3.89” pony heights (including head)? (for us, maybe 3.5 meters)
 
Then it must mean that they have vehicles that are so high, that they need such signs to warn vehicle users. In our world we had very heavy horse-drawn carriages that can be very large, from Argentina there are horse-drawn carriage wheels that are twice a human height. In a modern economy, bulk cargo and large cargo objects will be natural, and we know from G4 that the ponies are familiar with mechanically driven transport even though they generally prefer muscle power. It is possible that they have not taken the step from the bicycle vehicle to the motor vehicle as the human has done.
 
We do not know if the ponies have developed the internal combustion engine or another type of engine powered by electricity (which may be preferred; the ponies for several millennia were familiar with electricity thanks to the pegasi), but it is possible that they will have a very different distribution system from us , and by being herd animals with high social intelligence in stark contrast to the human, they will think and act differently from us. At least we know that steam technology was known in the G4. We also know that oil production is part of the ponies’ technology in the G5.

Honestly, I think it would be awesome if Derpy and Dr Whooves appeared in G5, using time traveling tech to reach the future. That would be truly awesome.
