First you should know that I don’t have any secret knowledge about G5 and what I post here is pure speculation. As for Sweet Apple Acres, maybe the descendants of the Apple family still live there, that would be a nice thing to happen in the movie or the series. But it’s also possible that there are only new locations, and the ones from G4 don’t appear at all.
 
As for Discord, I suppose he is immortal and should still exist along with his dimension, but since Equestria has lost its magic (that was said in the official announcement of the movie), it’s possible that if he goes to Equestria, he is powerless there.

I don’t know if Ponyville still exists in the G5 era. The races are supposed to live separately now, so I doubt there is a town where they are all together. This location looks like a unicorn’s home in the forest. Maybe Izzy’s?
