Oh,God,save us…
I LOVE the drama because it provides me with endless laughter.
I also know that I’m watching a children’s show, so to complain about anything is completely pointless.
Now excuse me, I’m bored. So I’m off to provoke more drama for giggles.
A straw man does not simply be accurate.
Except I LOVE the drama. I don’t even have to pay for television anymore.
And luckily that hate has been subsiding.
yay.
It was the fandom that attracted me to this show. It was for the fandom that I stayed. and it was through the fandom that I made some of the bestest friends I’ve ever had. We’ve made stories and porn and sweet sweet fan music together. Then we go at each other’s throats because Twi gets wings? people vacating the fandom and making a massive show about it. and what was one of the main (though I know not nearly the only) reasons for the backlash?
“The races will no longer be balanced.”
Disgusting.
people can be very bitter and angry when its important to them
Quite nice when we can discuss things in a calm manner, rare as it is.
Exchanging opinions on whether you think an episode is a good idea or not is fine. It’s when people start getting ANGRY is when problems arise.
For example, my problem with the Alicorn Twilight debacle had nothing to do with the episode. It’s that everyone was so bitter and angry. It was a very opressive atmosphere
Pissing people on the internet is fuuun

The problem is that they don’t do anything as close as “reserving their opinion”, I assume.
Yeah. That’s why I think the Eqeustria girls show could be good. Even the worst idea can be done well. Kingdom Hearts? Ghost Busters?
the thing is i can see some points where the logic failure in the apologist is
but i don’t get how “reserve judgement until you see the episode” is flawed
Oh and you just haaaave to post that you don’t give a shit, do you?
You are Blueblood son.
meh
it’s their problem if they don’t like me thinking things never turn out as bad as people make it
going in with a healthy aamount of wariness is ok too, I suppose. It’s when all sides start bitching is what I hate.
The main Apologist point on there I agree with is the “handwaves all criticisms” thing. I really hate it when they do that. it kills all credibility in defending an episode when people start going “oh, but most people see no problem, so you must be wrong. kthx bye”
