I love how Twilight instantly reaches out to hug him. She doesnt know whats going on but sees Spike upset about something and reacts.

This is why I feel “Spike At Your Service” was a weak episode. Spike loves Twilight too much to simply walk away from being her assistant, no matter what a dragon code might say. They could have just had an episode where Twilight took Spike for granted, but to have him leave her for such an odd reason is kinda out of character IMHO.
