Why fight when we both know I’d win?
 
How about you consider the following: you don’t have to sell your soul to me, you could have money and actual authority, you could have an entire nation to control instead of a singular dragon, you wouldn’t have to deal with soul energy which is limited and unsustainable, and you’d have the chance for career advancement (if you grow strong enough). Do you really want to choose some creepy pony in the ally and a life in the shadows, or a charming pony who can give you a life of fame and power?
