The more extreme the juxtaposition, the more fun it is to combine it with My Little Pony. That’s really all there is to it. That’s why grimdark fanfiction is so popular in this fandom.

My Little Pony - 1992 Edition

Maybe someone can explain this to me. Why is the Death Korps the most popular of all the Imperial Guard regiments with the ponies? I do get that they are one of the most tragic – they’re all clones, most of them equivalent to 14 years old, they have serial numbers rather than names because few of them live past their first battle… All of that seems like an odd combination with My Little Pony, of all things.
