I do not think so, at least I would not, because that would cause that maybe many people want to ask me and when I show them all the animation it is possible that not everyone likes it and it would be an uncomfortable moment, that’s why I prefer show all the material and so the people who write to me asking about it, they already know how it will be

Well, I had spoken to a number of friends as well who felt the way that I mentioned. I realize that I should’ve specified that, given that most of the comments on here were about labor rates, but that still brings up the same issue. If only part of the animation is advertised, people will feel more justified in spending their money to satisfy their curiosity, even if it is the same amount of work.
 
The way I see it, the best course of action would be to display a short snippet of the animation, either a fraction of the total runtime or a comic as I mentioned before, on sites like this to advertise. Then, when buyers get interested, show them the full animation in private before the purchase, so they can know whether or not they’ll be satisfied with the result, then they can either justify their purchase or rescind their request.

The problem with that is people wont know what the animation is and what they’re paying for.  
Then if each of them has specific animation requests, they’d need to pay that extra and suddenly the whole thing is more complicated.  
Also no one was complaining that the animation was complete already, they were complaining that $20 was too much for an hours worth of work which was more than reasonable, just a lot of people being cheapskates.

I was just suggesting that you could just show part of the animation when advertising like this, so people don’t get to see the full product until their version of the animation is done.

i can imagine if that was pip (macro) haveing ice cream and blackjack (micro) in the ice cream and she was trying to escape from her.

Nice job as usual! However, given the last YCH animation, I figured I’d share my two cents. There was conversation on your last YCH that people were considering not bothering to purchase the character slots because the animation was already fully done, all they had to do was imagine their character in the place of the placeholder and they would feel just as satisfied without spending the money.
 
Obviously not everyone feels that way, as you still got a lot of character commissions from it, but I wanted to bring it up publicly like this to see if you’d consider only showing part of the animation, like a couple seconds of animation or a comic made out some of the frames, so that people could know what to expect but not see the final product. It’d even allow the potential for people to add little extra details in for more of a fee, like a slightly different movement that the pred makes, or maybe a brief internal shot.
 
I’m not saying I have more experience than you in selling products, I’m just interpreting the negative feedback on the previous YCH and trying to give suggestions that could potentially earn you more money. I obviously don’t own the animations and art that you produce and I recognize that this is just the opinion of an outsider, so all I can hope is that you read my comment and understand that I’m not trying to insult or critique in any way, I’m just hoping to offer support.
