Seeing Pinkie like this reminds me of Gernot and Strudel from American Dad! specifically the two-headed blob, Uschi and Booshi. Uschi represents the sadness of the failed fall harvest. While Booshi represents the brief moment of happiness that washes over a person before they die.

If I might be allowed to fire my head canon again, I theorize neither Pinkamena, who manifests with curly mane and tail and lighter color, nor Diane, who manifests with straight mane and tail and darker color, are evil; and Diane is just the better of the two. I theorize the manifestations of the Pinkie sense are just Diane looking out for Pinkamena. I also theorize that the reason why Pinkie connects with Maud more than her other sisters is that Diane is most like her, having emotions, but not expressing them the way every other pony does.
 
This is just my theory. Whether someone else agrees or not is up to them. Everyone’s theories are equally valid, until proven true or false by the canon of the producers. And, even then, we still have the option of calling alternate universe, and making our head canons true in the world(s) we create.

In my head canon, Pinkamena and Diane are twins so completely conjoined that they’re essentially two pony spirits in one pony body.

What do you mean “separated”? They’re not conjoined twins, they’re two facets of one pony’s personality, diverged by a curse. Separating them is pretty much the opposite of what you would want to do here.

If we were to go by my head cannon concerning Pinkie Pie, once the two are separated, the bad news is Pinkamena and Diane probably won’t have long to live.

As of yet just the Mane Six and Spike. Whole reason was I basically pounded out a bunch of pictures in one day and rationed them over a week so I didn’t have to do any drawing and could focus on playing some video games. It’s why they all share the same general theme and all that XD

There’s a very loose timeline. Actually, a big driving reason behind setting it at a certain point early in the season is so I can draw the library instead of the castle. The castle is frigging hard to draw; it’s all obtuse angles and gradients and glow effects and the like, while the library is solid backgrounds with details added. I do actually intend to do more students, and even have a couple new ideas, but just got sidetracked with other stuff. Next one I really need to buckle down and do is the Community Collab XD

I may be misremembering, but I believe Badum once said that his art is usually set in the season 4-5 era of the show (unless the particular pic contains or references someone or something that wasn’t introduced until later), so the Student 6 probably missed their chances to be cursed anyway.
