Description
A Glyph in time.
Glyphs backstory, part 4.
And so it was, that my dear Glyph started teaching kindergarten-esk grammar to mares and stallions that had been studying languages for decades.
Fragments from Grims Diary:
it was hailed as the greatest historical archaeological breakthrough in recent times. as with her knowledge - the scholars of ancient Zebra found themselves with a base from which to translate the ancient laungages and scriptures of long forgotten cultures.
They pretty much hired her on the spot, and she soon became one of the most revered teachers of Ancient languages. Her knowledge deemed invaluable to the archaeological - historical progression.
For not only could she teach them the written word, but also the vocal pronunciations of a dead language. An art that would else, even to the best of semiotik minds, have been lost to the winds of time.
Her classes are always fully seated- Usually by ponies and Zebras who have spent a lifetime trying to crack the cipher on a single piece of pottery.
(some of them looked to be on their last legs. and the answers she could bring to their life long questions finally putting at peace manny old minds who feared they would die in ignorance.)
She alone has helped to preserve the knowledge of her time, and bring it into the modern century.
In a way - that was always her purpose. (Her destiny - as the ponies say) And i know she is happy with it.
“For what is not knolegde but a tresure who only grows when its shared” - I believed she said one of her mentors told her.
She might be a blast from a forgotten past. But she shure make her mark in this time.
To me – She will always be my best friend, and lifepartner.
Little did I know, that as news of the breakthroughs spread – they would reach the ears of one very special pony with a very special interest in the old occult, and that forgotten language.
A pony who, unbeknownst to me at the time, would become the second most important mare in my life.
