There’s also the fact that one on the team (don’t remember who) said that MMC is “the first part in a three-parter”. Which means that we’ll see a double-parter at the start of next season.
 
MMC was essentially a very unorthodox cliffhanger.

The ending wasn’t controversial and no one’s really annoyed at Alicorn Twilight.
 
The final episode was, however, VERY poorly paced, felt more like a clip show and had a resolution so sudden that Alicorn Twilight seems more acceptable than a poorly-scripted but well-animated chapter to the series.

Well, I for one am still coming down from a massive squee high. I’m very interested in seeing how the alicorn thing will develop, and I caught sight of a certain crazy-eyed pegasus. I’m good.
 
And there’s fanworks. Fanart and fanfiction. There’s enough to tide me over, yeah.

Anyway, there are always things to pass the time, almost too much actually. Before you know it, the little rumblings of previews will emerge and we’ll back to proclaiming ponypocalypse just like old times.

Even though I was greatly disappointed by large portions of season 3, the finale being no exception, only the most bitter of haters is going to want to discuss that for months on end.
 
I figure people will get a chance to have their say and then move on to more enjoyable topics.
 
Personally, I’m not even going to count down the time. Season 4 may redeem things, but I’m not holding my breath. Plenty of good fan works to enjoy one way or another.
