I didn’t see it so much as rushed. Instead, I saw it as being quick and to the point. There was not a lot to expand on. They didn’t introduce a new villain or a new relative of one of the existing characters or a new character period, so there wasn’t much to explain.
 
Then, that might be my bias about musicals talking.

I look less at the episode itself. I see it more as the last part of a series  
Of course the whole thing was rushed from the beginning to the end because they still wanted to add something interesting to it (Cutie Mark Swap).
