Grid Locked: Princess Celestia in the Grid
“Attention: New challenger entering the Grid. Program Name: Princess Celestia.”

2013 oldie. Crossover between MLP: FiM and Tron: Uprising/Legacy. The Tron world is one of my favorite worlds and both Tron: Uprising and Tron: Legacy hold special places in my heart. I was ecstatic when I found out they were expanding the universe/story through Tron: Uprising. Unfortunately, Tron: Uprising was cancelled before the big finale, but I highly recommend it to those who might be curious about it. The viewers can easily fill in the rest of the story where Uprising left off. (The style is a little different and might take some getting used to, literally everyone looks like very tall and slender runway models, but I personally liked the show’s style. The story is excellent and the characters are very well done.)

About the picture, I really enjoy crossovers so it was natural for this crossover to take place. Although this picture was not originally not a part of the group, it has been placed in a crossover group titled as Grid Locked, where characters from other franchises are placed into the world of Tron:Uprising/Legacy aka The Grid. I have a long list of characters that I would like to Tron-ize one day. It’s long over due and it is a project that has been placed on the back burner for, quite literally, years.

In this scene, Princess Celestia is about to face off against an offscreen foe. As to who it might be I’ll leave that up to the viewers. This might be her program self within the Grid (just like how Equestria Girls had their own “Princess”/Principal Celestia) or perhaps Discord dropped the MLP:FiM Princess Celestia within this world during one of their encounters as it is actually canon that Discord can open doorways to different dimensions.

As a program within the Grid, Princess Celestia is a Tron-esque figure, both a protector and a even a co-ruler to one of the ISO-friendly cities within The Grid. She can even dual wield discs just like Tron, but she normally only does that with her sister’s, Luna’s, disc whenever the two are in battle together, as a reference to the fact that Princess Celestia could raise and lower both the Sun and the Moon after Nightmare Moon’s/Princess Luna’s banishment. Princess Luna can do the same in this world. (And yes, Princess Celestia is allowed to fight in high heels and get away with it without stumbling all over the arena. 😉 I also accidentally made her look a little bit like Mara from Tron:Uprising, but that’s okay.)
