Hm. Poor behavior born out of neglect. If Cozy is seeking any attention and Tirek is seeking affirmation (positive attention) then perhaps Chrysalis is afraid of losing the attention of her subjects. She became cruel to ensure their loyalty and “adoration” of her.

Could be a lack of guidence. Based on the fact that she barely seems to hide her misdemeeners I’d say that she’s trying to get attention.
