I think even the writers would say plot convenience which I completely understand their reason why, because they figured MLP:FiM isn’t the kind of show to bring up that kind of logic. But us bronies just can’t help ourselves.
Now those resistances make sense. Along with dragons have a slight magic resistance but powerful unicorns and alicorns could easily whup them.
i dont know about gun beats magic, but for the throne: the changelings had thousands or even millions of years to adapt to the effect of the stone.Thats like saying, that the dragon lands have volcanoes, with lava, that burns everyone that touches it, except for dragons? Isnt that plot convenience, that the lava in equestria just happens to have no effect on dragons?
Dragons have heat resistance, yaks have cold resistance and changelings have mp-drain resistance.
Like how in Harry Potter, gun beats magic? And all magic but changeling magic. That’s why I said plot convenient.
But it makes sense for something like this to exist. In a good magic system, there are counters to everything. The stone counters magic users, but not raw physical strength, like yaks.
Could also be plot convenience anti-magic rocks.
maybe the stone absorbs all magic within a certain spectrum, and changeling magic is one of the few types of magic, that doesnt fall in it?
Or maybe, their species evolved near the stone, so they have developed an immunity to anti-magic fields? That could explain, whyy Chrysalis was able to resist Tireks ability to drain her essence in frenemies.
She just wants to get Sanbar’s attention. ;)
This is her before non-complete clause. she learning to transform into a swimming creature.

Meh.
You’re only the third or fourth person to suggest that.
We saw her swimming in Non-Compete Clause!

I envy him.
Edited because: Found Jesus.
Why would the once that does the opposite? And maybe they aren’t aware of it until now.
But why would this stone exist in Equestria’s current day and age?
