While I’m not the biggest Warhammer fan, I’ve loved the style of their character designs, so much extra detail packed into already over packed bodies. And when it came to celebrating my five years on Fimfiction I thought why not go for something from Warhammer and obviously I wanted to use Mortarion as a baseline since his design was always my favorite.
 
Being Warhammer, Eztp was an easy choice for the artist as he love the designs almost as much as me. While not the cheapest artist, really the original plan was for a battle between Sombra and Sunset Shimmer, sorry I was a bit short on money, I can rely on him for bringing even my most bizarre ideas to life.

Excellent catch. Yeah some of this was inspired by Mortarion as well. Mix in a little Bane, Mad Max, alicorness and some key foreshadowing from my own universe, the scythe’s head piece.
