Well, it did kinda effect the status quo’ a bit. So it was kinda a big event, and gave Twilight, the hero some loss after the Tirek incident, and kinda developed her more into her princess status.
Not going to deny some overreacted over it, like those stating, “Golden Oaks died for profits.” (Ugh…)

The thing is just because it means something to the character doesn’t mean it actually mean something to the show most people would be like that if they’re home was destroyed
Yeah, but judging from the ep’ afterwards where she was missing it, and such, it meant more to Twilight, as it was full of her old memories, and such.
It was probably the closest they were allowed to do to a “good guy character being killed off.”
Personally I never saw it as anything important it is just the place twilight used to live to me
Remember that Tirek killed her, next time somebody goes off about how Tirek is just “misunderstood/not really evil,” and “should’ve been reformed.”
