And don’t give me that “they would have lost their copyright if they didn’t assrape their fans” horseshit that EqD tried to pull. That’s how logos and brand names work, it has nothing to do with story details and characters. If someone went to court and tried to argue that Twilight Sparkle is public domain because Hasbro didn’t sue every individual fan artist on the internet they would have tomatoes thrown at them and be beaten with a gavel by the judge.

MA Larson’s jokey attitude regarding all this drama is one of the few things preventing me from wondering if the fandom has become way too serious for its own good. No really, while I can understand being upset over the whole Fighting is Magic situation, many of the reactions I’m seeing to both that and the alicorn drama are overblown to hell.

Hasbro is truly a work of art at what they do.
