“A pony lost in thought, likely due to an overactive imagination. What’s she writing? What’s she afraid of?
This took me longer than I wanted, only because I had expected my Surface to charge overnight last night, and it hadn’t, such that my battery ran out well before I could get to a plug and dedicate some good time to draw. I had plenty of time (a problem on its own), but no ability to charge the laptop, so I was stuck.
I’m also experiencing issues with my Surface Pen. I’ve replaced the battery plenty of times in the past week, and still it just stops working in the middle of a line, frequently when I’m pressing the buttons on the side. Sometimes it comes back on its own, but most of the time, I have to remove and replace the cap the keeps the battery in. However, it’s a screw-on cap, and I think the threads are getting stripped. This is the only kind of Surface pen with pressure sensitivity for the eraser; one of the side buttons switches to the eraser tool, using all the pressure sensitivity of the main pen, while newer pens simply have an eraser without any pressure sensitivity. I don’t want to lose the pressure sensitive eraser, but I know a replacement is likely to break in the same way…
Experimenting more with colors again. Looked at some tutorials a while ago, and I think I’ll need some more in-depth insight into how Clip Studio does things before I can feel like I’m progressing there.”
